MLB’s Ramos Credits LASIK for Improvement

Major League Baseball player Wilson Ramos, catcher for the Washington Nationals, credits his recent LASIK for improved performance at the plate. Ramos underwent LASIK laser eye surgery on March 4 of this year and almost immediately his hitting improved.  Ramos said he’s “more comfortable and I’m seeing the pitch really, really well after surgery. Now I can say the surgery helped me to be better at the plate.” He said, as a hitter, his pitch recognition improved — and that the surgery also improved his performance defensively. Ransom joins a long list of professional athletes who have undergone LASIK to improve their performance.
