Abstract
Extreme attention to detail in centering laser vision correction procedures can help prevent de-centered LASIK or PRK and their resultant visual problems. There has been debate within the surgical community about how to best center hyperopic LASIK or hyperopic PRK. Centration is more critical for hyperopic procedures than for myopic procedures. In this paper directed toward experienced LASIK surgeons, Dr. Shapiro discusses techniques for proper centration of hyperopic LASIK and hyperopic PRK.
