NBA Star’s Shooting Improves After LASIK

A patient from Thousand Oaks who is hoping for a career as a professional basketball player asked me how pros like their LASIK. I told him that LA Clippers’ point guard Chris Paul is attributing his early season shooting success this year to his recent LASIK laser vision correction. Paul’s shooting improved to 47.3% from the free throw line since having LASIK, which is nearly an 11% increase from his career average before having LASIK. Paul’s father and brother had undergone LASIK when Paul was a rookie and Paul’s mother had been encouraging him to do the same since that time. Now the 31 year old NBA star is thrilled that he finally had LASIK himself. Certainly I’ve seen the same type of happiness and professional improvement in other professional athletes I’ve done LASIK laser eye surgery on over the years.
