Washington Redskins’ Jonathan Allen Has LASIK Eye Surgery

NFL Star Linebacker Has LASIK Laser Eye Surgery

National Football League star Jonathan Allen, linebacker for the Washington Redskins, posted on social media to let his fans know he had LASIK laser vision correction in the off season before the start of the 2019 NFL season. On their team newsletter, the Washington Redskins warned NFL quarterbacks, “It has to be a little frightening for NFC East quarterbacks to think Allen might be seeing even better in 2019. After joining the Redskins via the first round in 2017, he’s tallied nine sacks while keying a superb defensive line.”

Many Professional Athletes Have Had LASIK or PRK to Improve Their Performance by Getting Rid of Their Glasses or Contacts – Here’s a Few

Many professional athletes, including many who have been patients of mine, have undergone either LASIK or PRK laser eye surgery to maximize their sports performance and to get rid of their contacts or glasses, which often hinder their performance. Two New York Mets catchers  just underwent LASIK just for that reason. Rookie catcher Tomas Nido lost a contact at a critical time, leading him to have LASIK and his team mate, Wilson Ramos, had LASIK after his contact lenses kept drying out — and Ramos ended up on the All Star Team! Similarly, Philadelphia Phillies rookie Seth Lancaster saved his career by having LASIK after his contacts kept causing eye infections. NBA star Tobias Harris of the Detroit Pistons improved his basketball game by having LASIK after he also kept getting contact lens infections, and after LASIK his long shots became more accurate, something he attributed specifically to having his laser eye surgery. Another NBA star, Milwaukee Bucks’ sharpshooting forward Mirza Teletovic, became frustrated with his contact lenses moving and throwing off his vision. He had LASIK and improved his shooting.  NFL linebacker De’Vondre Campbell of the Dallas Cowboys used to wear glasses, but had LASIK and afterwards his coaches noticed him making plays he was unable to do before his laser vision correction. The NFL’s Jordan Howard, running back for the Chicago Bears, had PRK to correct his astigmatism and improve his vision and his performance. Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman had LASIK to get rid of his glasses which were interfering with his game. Golf legend Tiger Woods has had LASIK.  LA Lakers’s superstar LeBron James even had LASIK to help launch his career!
